I think this is the wrong venue.

A few years back I went to a concert event with one of my sons. It wasn't one that I would normally go to - a performance of Trailer Park Boys...for those that don't know - low brow humor. But a time to be with my son so I bought the tickets and off to Portland.

There was one teachable moment as I saw many people line up for the event. Young, old. Some I - if I remember with children - a little odd considering the venue. But one teachable moment came up.

A mother and younger daughter (perhaps around 10 years old) was wondering slowly to the ticket booth. The mother was looking around as she approached it closely. Mot of the crowd going - being both Portland and representative of the viewers - wasn't the kind that would mix well with the mother/daughter pair.

I was about 15 feet away when I could hear her voice "I think were at the wrong venue.." . I mentioned that to my son before going in. Sometimes your at the wrong place. Even though crowds are going in.

That's how it should be for Christians attending the Madison Square Garden (MSG) event . Maybe its a large crowd. Popular. Neither a benchmark for a moral event. But walking away from the crowd that chants such xenophobic filth - well unless your there for a teachable moment - would be the right thing to do. Or a prophetic "this is evil" that would get you kicked out shows perhaps its better to walk away.
